Medic 3, Engine 3, Ladder 6, Command Car 31, and the MFD Lake Rescue Team responded to Lake Monona for a small boat fully involved with fire. Three people fled the boat and swam to shore uninjured.

MFD responded to the 2000 block of Van Hise Avenue to assist a person stranded 40 feet above ground in a hydraulic lift that stopped working. The worker was not injured and was lowered to the ground using Ladder Co. 7's aerial platform.

The MFD Heavy Urban Rescue Team (HURT) was sent to the Kettle Moraine State Forest on 5/15/21 to assist Whitewater Fire following a plane crash. The team was notified that a small plane experienced an engine problem, prompting the pilot to deploy a parachute to slow the plane's descent.
